Our MCI logo emphasizes and symbolizes our infinite Triune Almighty GOD by using the infinity symbol from mathematics (∞). GOD is available to any of us IF we reach out to Him in prayer with true faith and live right. This is why our logo shows the infinity symbol ∞ all over the earth---kind of floating above the surface where anyone can reach “up” to GOD. On top of the earth in our logo is a dove, which is a universal symbol for peace. We pray and hope for peace on earth!
The dove on our MCI logo is also a symbol for the Holy Spirit among us Christians. So our logo also means to us that the Holy Spirit, one Person of our Triune GOD (the Trinity) as understood by Christians, is a crucial way in which GOD is available to us and “on top of things” on earth.
The Holy Spirit is the Counselor (Helper, Advocate, Encourager, Comforter; see John 14: 16-17 and corresponding notes in the New International Version and the New Living Translation Study Bibles) that Jesus Christ promised to send to us after He returned to heaven. The Holy Spirit can provide any true Christian with various “gifts of the spirit,” including the power to heal and to work other miracles, according to St. Paul in the Bible (I Corinthians 12: 4-11).
We do not use a cross in our MCI logo only because that symbol is so frequently used and already well known among Christians, who are our primary audience and intended users/readers. We were inspired to be different, emphasizing the whole Triune GOD Almighty in the Three Persons of the Trinity---Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And we believe that we were inspired by GOD to use the mathematical infinity symbol to represent Him graphically in our logo.
We don’t believe that GOD Almighty actually looks like the old man with a long beard that Michelangelo depicted so beautifully on the Sistine chapel ceiling in the Vatican in Italy (as in one of our MCI website banners above). GOD does not look like an infinity symbol either. But for us, this symbol conveys the essence of GOD’s infinite power, love, mind, and presence throughout all space-time---a living and personal but boundless Spiritual Being.
Our logo represents GOD as understood generally in Christianity. But our logo is broadly ecumenical. For us, the logo shows we are open to the members of the large number of different Christian church denominations/religions and non-denominational Christian churches, as well as to currently non-church-affiliated varieties of Christians. We are also open to those who believe in an infinite GOD and are considering Christianity as a religious identity and possible future church affiliation.
